PickMyPower is designed to work without collecting personal information. You can compare every plan on this site without creating an account, entering your name, email, address, or any other identifying details.
What we collect
- Nothing you type identifies you. The ZIP code and usage level you enter are used on the spot to display results and are not transmitted to us or stored by us.
- Anonymous, aggregate analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-focused tool that counts visits and page views without cookies, without tracking you across sites, and without building a profile of you.
- Standard infrastructure logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes IP addresses transiently to serve the site and defend it from attacks, as every website host does.
What stays on your device
If you select your delivery utility on a city page, that preference is saved in your browser's local storage so you don't have to re-select it. It never leaves your device, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Links to other sites
Plan listings link to electricity providers' websites and to official documents they host. Once you leave PickMyPower, those sites' own privacy policies apply — including any enrollment forms where you provide personal information to a provider. We never see what you submit there.
Advertising and referral links
Some links to providers may be referral links, meaning we may earn a fee if you enroll — this doesn't change what you pay or how plans are ranked. If display advertising is added to this site in the future, ad partners may use cookies or similar technologies, and this policy will be updated first, with any consent tools required by the ad networks and applicable law.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them (or, as described above, from anyone).
Changes and contact
If our practices change, this page changes first, with a new effective date. Questions: hello@pickmypower.com.
